Prof. Peter Knight

Peter Knight is professor of American Studies at the University of Manchester (UK). He teaches American Studies, with a focus on literature and culture in the 19th and 20th century, He is an expert on conspiracy theories, and cultural studies of finance, and is the author of Conspiracy Culture (2000), The Kennedy Assassination (2007) and Reading the Market (2016), and editor of Conspiracy Nation (2002) and Conspiracy Theories in American History: An Encyclopedia (2004). Together with Prof. Michael Butter (University of Tübingen), he edited the Routledge Handbook of Conspiracy Theories, and he directed the COST Action COMPACT [Comparative Analysis of Conspiracy Theories]. He is currently leading a research project on coronavirus conspiracy theories.
